Are You Magnetizing When You Hit Send (BMM EP007)
Sep 01, 2024
"It feels like a vacuum cleaner salesman has parked himself in your living room and won’t leave. Not quite the warm, fuzzy feeling we’re aiming for."
Let’s chat about something pivotal to our business success: Are you magnetizing when you hit send?
I know, your email list is a treasure trove. We've all heard it time and time again, "The money is in your list." But how often do we pause to really think about our approach? Now, don't sweat it—I’m here to guide you through making your emails not just another piece of informational clutter but a magnetizing beacon that your audience eagerly awaits.
First off, let’s talk frequency. You’ve probably come across every advice under the sun—email once a week, twice a week, even five times a week! The truth? There’s no one-size-fits-all. What really matters is ensuring each email builds a genuine connection. Imagine your emails are like a friendly chat over coffee. Would you bombard someone with five chats a day? Absolutely not! Instead, think quality over quantity.
Now, picture this: You signed up for a simple webinar the other day, and suddenly your inbox is bursting with four emails a day from this same person. It’s overwhelming, right? It feels like a vacuum cleaner salesman has parked himself in your living room and won’t leave. Not quite the warm, fuzzy feeling we’re aiming for.
Compare that to someone like Maru, who crafts each email with genuine care, or Angie Lee, who has you enchanted from the first line. That's the magic we want to capture—where your offer is just a sweet bonus because by then, your readers are already captivated by your authenticity.
Here’s what you can do to create that magic:
- Be Relatable: Share those little enlightening moments from your day. Did you have an 'aha' moment that could benefit them? Absolutely share it! Your readers will love these genuine slices of your life.
- Be Caring: Think about what your audience truly needs and offer that. Maybe it’s a tip, a comforting word, or a shared experience that makes them feel seen and understood.
- Be Consistent but Not Overwhelming: Decide on a frequency that feels right for you and your audience. Stick to it, but don’t inundate them. It’s about building trust, not fatigue.
- Be Magnetic: Every word you send should invite your readers into your world, making them feel like they can't wait to hear from you again.
So, here’s a little challenge for you. Take a moment to reflect. How can you make your emails more magnetizing? What little tweaks can you implement to make each email a delightful, anticipated read? Share your thoughts and what you plan to do differently in the Facebook Group. I’m so intrigued to see your ideas and cheer you on!
