"Let's face it: confidence isn't just a nice-to-have; it's essential. It's what pushes us to hit "Post" instead of "Delete," to show up live even when we feel like hiding, and to put our offers out there boldly."
I am so excited to share something truly inspiring with you today! This newsletter is all about my podcast episode with the MOST downloads that features the fantastic Emily Socha, and let me tell you, she dropped some serious knowledge bombs on how to build unshakeable confidence, especially for us female entrepreneurs navigating the choppy waters of online business.
Why Confidence Matters in Business
Let's face it: confidence isn't just a nice-to-have; it's essential. It's what pushes us to hit "Post" instead of "Delete," to show up live even when we feel like hiding, and to put our offers out there boldly. Emily brought some transformative ideas to the table, and I can't wait to dive into them with you.
1. Embrace Your Authentic Self
Emily pointed out something incredibly liberating: not everyone is going to love you, and that is absolutely okay. Turn inward and ask yourself, "Who am I, and what about me do I love?" Show up as that person. Whether you're dressed to the nines or in your PJs, authenticity is magnetic. If you're quirky, let that quirkgasm shine! Being authentic not only attracts your tribe but also sustains you in the long run.
2. Baby Steps to Big Wins
Look, we've all been there—freaking out about doing that first Facebook live or posting an offer. Emily swears by the power of baby steps. Start small: talk to yourself in the mirror, record little videos for your eyes only, then graduate to posting them. Each tiny step builds your confidence and prepares you for bigger challenges. It's like building muscle; you've got to start somewhere!
3. Playing to Your Strengths
For my introverts in the house (yes, you!), the online space gives you control you've always wanted. You get to decide when to go live, when to interact, and when to recharge. Use those strengths like being a great listener or being highly observant to your advantage. These qualities are gold, especially in coaching or consulting!
4. Offer and Pricing Confidence
Another golden nugget from Emily: Charge what makes you excited. Don't feel pressured to put a high price tag just because. If $99 makes you feel giddy and confident to share your offer, start there! Your enthusiasm will be contagious, and as you gain more confidence and see the value you provide, you can adjust your prices accordingly.
5. Facing the Fear of Success
Believe it or not, some of us are more afraid of success than failure. What happens if your offer is so good, you get overwhelmed with clients? Take a moment to honor that fear. It's valid. Then flip it on its head: "What if my success is just a new learning curve I need to master?" You've got this. Allow yourself to dream big and embrace what comes.
Final Thoughts
Emily's session was chock-full of wisdom, but the most important takeaway? Confidence starts with self-love and small, actionable steps. Take a moment right now to celebrate something unique about yourself. Maybe even jot it down and keep it where you can see it daily.
You are amazing, and you have everything you need to succeed within you. So go out there, be your fabulous self, and let's make magic happen together!
