42 How to Get Things Going the Way You Want Following Disappointment with Jenna BrociousAug 27, 2023
Join Suzanne Proksa and Jenna Brocious for an episode about detaching from the outcome of any task or opportunity and letting go of what you think it should be. Sometimes we set these high expectations just to be let down and brought down. Instead, let go and allow things to work out the way they should. This episode provides tangible tips on how to master this and allow more things to come into your life.
Jenna Brocious is a wife, mother, and spiritual intuitive who has worn many hats in life on her journey to find purpose outside the home. With a very supportive husband, Jenna had the time to sit and pray to find what she was meant to do, which is to help, heal, and spread love to others. Jenna has always had a connection to God, which continues to be something very important to her. In 2019, Jenna started to intentionally sit in prayer and meditation, which is where the idea for her prayer cards was born. Jenna's faith and trust in God is strengthened by her own journey of deep healing. She wants everyone to know that just because something bad has happened to you, it doesn’t mean that’s who you are, that God doesn’t give us anything we can’t handle (something Jenna would say to herself a lot when she was young). Jenna knows that having a positive mindset, along with her faith, are two of her biggest priorities in life. It's Jenna's mission to help, heal and spread love to others, and she's committed to sharing her message of love and healing with as many people as possible.

In this episode of The Suzanne Show, host Suzanne Proksa sits down with guest Jenna Brocious to discuss how to navigate disappointment and get things moving in the right direction. Jenna, a wife, mother, and spiritual intuitive, shares her insights and personal experiences on finding purpose and spreading love to others.
The episode begins with Suzanne and Jenna exploring the impact of unmet expectations on our mental and emotional well-being. Jenna emphasizes the importance of having realistic expectations and accepting that not everyone will do things the same way we do. Disappointment, she notes, can be hurtful regardless of whether or not we expected it. Jenna encourages listeners to approach relationships and situations with grace and understanding, allowing for more successful outcomes.
The conversation then turns to strategies for detaching from negative outcomes. Jenna highlights the significance of not holding people to expectations they have not agreed to, as well as the importance of setting boundaries and prioritizing one's own well-being. By creating space for oneself and saying no to things that don't align with personal values, individuals can detach from disappointment and move forward with greater peace and forgiveness.
One aspect of disappointment that Suzanne brings up is experiencing a failed launch in business. Jenna, drawing from her own personal experiences, shares that she has launched multiple businesses that didn't turn out as expected. However, she learned to trust that everything is working in her favor, despite the initial setbacks. Jenna's ability to go with the flow and have faith in a bigger, better plan allowed her to redirect her energy and ultimately find herself in a more fulfilling and positive place.
The conversation concludes with a discussion on the disappointment some women face in their careers, particularly when it comes to pay and job opportunities. Jenna suggests reframing the situation and looking for the positive aspect, rather than dwelling in negativity. She advises women to consider that perhaps not getting the desired raise or job is a sign that it's not the right fit or that there is something better waiting for them. By choosing to focus on the positive and taking risks, Jenna believes that individuals can find greater rewards and fulfillment.
Throughout the episode, Jenna emphasizes the power of positive thinking and its ability to transform one's mindset. She encourages listeners to shift their perspective and actively choose to focus on the light, fun, and positive side of life, even in the face of disappointment. While positive thinking may not come naturally to everyone, Jenna suggests practicing it as a means to cultivate a more positive and empowering mindset. By making this shift, individuals can navigate through disappointment with greater ease and find peace and success in their endeavors.
